Cornell University Builds Martin Y. and Margaret Lee Tang Hall

Staff Report / FLXlocal.org

Cornell University in Ithaca has announced the construction of a new facility named Martin Y. and Margaret Lee Tang Hall, marking the first addition to the Pew Engineering Quad in twenty years. The naming honors a significant donation from Martin Y. Tang, a graduate of the class of 1970, and his wife Margaret Lee Tang.

The new building aims to improve faculty excellence by enhancing the recruitment, support, and retention of outstanding researchers, educators, and scholars. It will also provide a dedicated space for the Nancy E. and Peter C. Meinig School of Biomedical Engineering, which will have its first presence on the Engineering Quad.

Tang Hall will include new teaching laboratories, design and experiential learning spaces, and meeting rooms that will benefit multiple engineering departments at Cornell.
