Martina Pablo Pablo’s Coffee Aims to Uplift Community

**Martina's Marina Coffee: A Family Tradition and Hope for Change**

Martina Pablo Pablo, a sophomore at Cornell University, began her journey in the coffee industry at the age of five, picking beans on her father's small plot of land in Guatemala. Her home region, located in the Sierra de los Cuchumatanes mountains, is known for its unique microclimate that produces high-quality coffee.

Despite the area's agricultural advantages, approximately 75% of the Mam Maya population lives in poverty. Aiming to improve these economic conditions, Pablo Pablo created her own company to sell coffee directly from her family farm in Todos Santos, Huehuetenango. She is currently studying hotel administration at the Cornell Nolan School of Hotel Administration, aligning her education with her goal to bring positive change to her community through the coffee trade.
