On Tuesday, September 24th, the fifth graders from Syracuse Academy of Science Charter School participated in their first Field Trip Friday of the school year. Despite some rain, the students traveled to Camp Talooli in Pennellville, New York.

During the trip, the students took part in a guided nature walk around the lake. They learned to pan for gold, specifically pyrite, and constructed rocket ships, which they later launched. After these activities, the students enjoyed lunch in the main lodge before heading back to school.
