The Austin Animal Center in Austin, Texas, shared a heartwarming update about a cat named Carmel. Adopted in March, Carmel has become a beloved member of her new home. Described as sweet, beautiful, and playful, she has formed a close bond with her best friend, another cat named Snooze.

Carmel's new family chose to adopt her after the passing of their previous cat, seeking to provide her with a loving home while also aiding in their own healing process. They report that Carmel enjoys cuddling, is sometimes talkative, and greets her owners when they arrive home. When the family goes out of town, she waits by the door, looking for them.

The family expresses deep affection for Carmel, noting how incredibly sweet she is to them. The Austin Animal Center encourages others with adoption stories to share their experiences by emailing animal.media@austintexas.gov.
